When he was 18, Kelley was hired at a Solid Waste Management Services, and it turned his life around. “I know most people don’t see being a garbage man as a great job, but I felt so lucky to get work. I knew it was do or die, and that I had to make something of this.” Kelley was a model employee, and moved his way up in the company. Now, after being General Manager for more than fifteen years, he has comfortably retired. “My CPP [Canada Pension Plan] pays me well more than I’ll ever need. I’m happy I can share it with those who need it more.”
The food donated by Mr. Kelley will be spread out throughout the greater Toronto area.
