Kelley explained why. “I went through some hard times when I was younger. I know what it’s like to go hungry, and I know how hard it can be to reach out and ask for help. I’m fortunate enough now that I can try to help those who are now facing those problems.”

Kelley was orphaned at a young age, and had to quickly learn how to fend for himself. He left foster care when he was 16 years old. “It was tough. I took work where ever I could, and tried to get by, but there were many nights where I had to find a place to sleep outside.”
